About Dundas and Reeve

Welcome to Dundas and Reeve — the Sentinel-Review’s blog on municipal politics in Woodstock and Oxford.

The primary author of this blog is Hugo Rodrigues, the politics and education reporter at the S-R. Hugo has covered Woodstock and Oxford councils since 2006, reporting on regular council meetings and other issues and events that arise within the S-R’s coverage area.

The name of this blog comes from the location of Woodstock City Hall, at 500 Dundas St., and the Oxford County Administration Building, at 21 Reeve St. This doesn’t mean posts here will be limited to municipal issues in the City of Woodstock or the County of Oxford proper. As time and interest allows, there will be posts here related to the county’s two towns and five townships.

This blog is part of a overall drive to start a dialogue with our readers — either through the comments section of our website, the comments on this blog, or my own Twitter feed. It also provides a bigger platform for more analysis and opinion of municipal politics than the space available in the printed pages of the newspaper. Comments from the blog may be sourced for a column, titled “Online Conversation,” which runs from time-to-time in the Sentinel-Review.

Please join the conversation!
